JavaFX is a rich client platform for building cross-device applications and content. Designed to enable easy creation and deployment of rich Internet applications (RIAs) with immersive media and content, the JavaFX platform ensures that RIAs look and behave consistently across diverse form factors and devices.
The first half of this presentation will describe unique language features of the JavaFX Script programming language. It will show Java technology-based developers where the differences lie and covers all the great things that make the JavaFX programming language the ideal language for building rich graphical applications.
In the second half, more advanced features such as various deployment options, Java and JavaScript integration, accessing RESTful web services, how to mix JavaFX and Java, WidgetFX framework, JavaFX Composer, and Java Store will be talked about.
